Reiki is an energetic healing technique for emotional release, stress reduction, relaxation that also promotes healing on all levels of being; physical, emotional, and spiritual. The practitioner works within the energetic field, which can extend inches away from the body, and may include gentle touch.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.”
Life force flows within the physical body though pathways called chakras, meridians and nadis. It also flows around us in a field of energy called the aura. Life force nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions. When this flow of life force is disrupted, it causes diminished function in one or more of the organs and tissues of the physical body.
The life force is responsive to thoughts and feelings. It becomes disrupted when we accept, either consciously or unconsciously, negative thoughts or feelings about ourselves. These negative thoughts and feelings attach themselves to the energy field and cause a disruption in the flow of life force. This diminishes the vital function of the organs and cells of the physical body.
Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. This causes the negative energy to break apart and fall away. In so doing, Reiki clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.

Reiki has had a positive affect on all forms of illness and negative conditions. This includes minor things like head or stomach aches, bee stings, colds, flu, tension and anxiety as well as serious illness like heart disease, cancer, leukemia, etc. The side effects of regular medical treatments have also been reduced or eliminated. This includes the negative effects of chemotherapy, post operative pain and depression as well as improving the healing rate and reducing the time needed to stay in the hospital.
Reiki always helps and in some cases people have experienced complete healings which have been confirmed by medical tests before and after the Reiki treatments. However, while some have experienced miracles, they cannot be guaranteed. Stress reduction with some improvement in one’s physical and psychological condition are what most experience.

In a standard treatment Reiki energy flows from the practitioners hands into the client. The client is usually laying on a massage table but treatments can also be given while the client is seated or even standing. The client remains fully clothed. The practitioner places her/his hands on or near the clients body in a series of hand positions. These include positions around the head and shoulders, the stomach, and feet. Other, more specific positions may be used based on the clients needs. Each position is held for three to ten minutes depending on how much Reiki the client needs at each position.
What one experiences during a Reiki treatment varies somewhat from person to person. However, feelings of deep relaxation are usually felt by all. In addition, many feel a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and surrounds them. As the Reiki energy encourages one to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings a state of peace and well-being is experienced. Some drift off to sleep or report floating outside their bodies or have visions and other mystical experiences. At the end of the treatment, one feels refreshed with a more positive, balanced outlook.

Each Reiki Practitioner has their own style in which to channel Reiki. This can create quite a difference between sessions across practitioners.

A standard Reiki session is about 60 minutes. An hour is perfect amount of time to find a state of deep relaxation so that the client may receive a deep healing.
30 minute sessions are great for people who would like to try Reiki for the first time or to get a feel for a certain practitioner. Generally Reiki sessions are 60min or more but this small session can be a great boost of energy or reset in your life.
90 minute sessions are designed for deep emotional release work.
Access Bars

Access Bars is a gentle hands-on energy work technique with light touch to specific points around the client’s head. Introduced by Gary Douglas in the early 1990s, the Bars are 32 unique points on the head that correlate to different areas and aspects of life. During an Access Bars session, a practitioner gently touches these points to release the electromagnetic charge of all thoughts, ideas, attitudes, decisions, and beliefs that may have limited you in the concerned life areas.

One of the life-changing components that happens naturally with each Access Bars session is the element of receiving. How often do we just let go, lower our barriers, and allow another person to truly gift us? Learning to receive is a key to inviting more of what you’re asking for into your life. Access Bars facilitates receiving, different than any other modality in this reality.

The client will lay on their back on a table - sessions can be done seated if needed. The practitioner will then lightly touch points around the client’s head. These sessions are done in silence and without use of essential oils so that memories are not triggered based on sounds or smells in the rooms.

Emotional Clearing

Emotional Clearing sessions use techniques like Reiki and Energy Touch combined with powerful tools like essential oils, flower essences, and crystals. Each session is unique and intuitively customized to each client’s journey. Emotional Clearing is a creative and powerful way to deeply free your emotions so they do not become stagnant.

It’s been proven that the human body can store memory in it’s trillions of cells like memories of pathogens to know how to fight different illnesses. That’s what builds up our natural immune system.
Our cells also hold emotional memories. We are an emotional being as well as a physical one. And more times than not, it is our stored emotions, some would call our emotional baggage, that cause our physical body to break down in different ways. The benefits of Emotional Release sessions include physical healing as well as mental/emotional healing.

Our memory cells are passed down to the next generations along with all the genetic coding, including our emotional memory cells. As we live life we add our own experiences on top of the inherited ones, which only compounds the emotional stress on the physical body. Thus it is vital for everyone to work on their emotional stress as well as their physical in order to achieve optimal health.

Each emotional release session is unique. There are many different tools that can be used to help facilitate an emotional release, such as; sound (tuning bowls, forks), light, energy work, crystals, flower essences and essential oils.
Clients will lay comfortably on the table, fully dressed but with shoes off. Let go of expectations, and relax and be open to process whatever emotions that surface during the session. Practitioners will guide the client during session how to process it, whether that is breathing it out, or visualizing, or crying. There may be tears, laughter, anger, sadness that sweeps through the client, allowing the emotions to surface is part of the release.
Polarity Energywork

Polarity work is a light touch energy therapy that works with the energy currents of our physical, mental, and spiritual bodies to remove stuck energy or disruptions to bring balance and homeostasis.

The practitioner will guide the client into a meditative state using light touch, calming music, and a visualization. From here, a history will reveal itself and together you will find a way to make peace so that the client can move on with ease.
Reiki Mentorship
with Taryn Schulte

The purpose of this membership is to provide 1 on 1 resource for education and practice. These sessions will be very flow based and will incorporate a few key components:
1. A place to converse or ask questions regarding Reiki or Energywork
2. A place where a Reiki practitioner can practice and get feedback
3. A place to also receive Reiki so that they can learn to feel what their client feels and incorporate it into their practice
