What Service is Right for Me?

A modern guide to self-care at The Remedy House

Let’s be honest — self-care isn’t a luxury anymore. It’s maintenance.

Between work, family, digital overload, and the quiet stressors we carry internally, tension builds in layers: physical, emotional, mental, and energetic. When we finally pause to ask, “What do I actually need?” the answer isn’t always obvious.

This guide will help you choose the right service based on what your body (and nervous system) might be asking for.

If You’re Feeling It in Your Body

(Tension, soreness, headaches, fatigue, tight shoulders, low back pain)

Massage Therapy

Deeply grounding and restorative, massage supports circulation, lymphatic flow, muscular release, and nervous system regulation. It’s ideal if:

  • You feel physically tight or inflamed

  • You sit or stand for long periods

  • You crave safe, supportive touch

  • You want to calm an overstimulated nervous system

Massage works primarily on the physical layer — but it often opens emotional release as well.

Reflexology

Your hands and feet contain thousands of nerve endings connected to the entire body. Reflexology gently stimulates these pathways to improve communication between systems.

Best for:

  • Full-body stress without a specific pain point

  • Digestive or hormonal imbalance

  • Deep relaxation without full-body massage

This is subtle, powerful work that helps the body reset itself.

If Stress Feels Both Physical and Emotional

Craniosacral Therapy

Gentle, precise, and deeply regulating.

Craniosacral Therapy works with the connective tissue surrounding the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system). When stress — physical or emotional — is stored in that tissue, it can create tension patterns throughout the body.

You might benefit from Craniosacral Therapy if:

  • You feel “off” but can’t explain why

  • You get recurring chiropractic adjustments that don’t seem to hold

  • You experience anxiety, overwhelm, or chronic tension

  • You want subtle but profound nervous system support

This therapy addresses the root tension patterns beneath symptoms.

If You’re Emotionally Drained, Mentally Foggy, or Energetically Heavy

When stress lingers, it can lower mood, disrupt sleep, and create a sense of feeling stuck. Energy-based therapies work on restoring balance at a frequency level.

Reiki

A gentle, hands-on or hands-above healing modality that supports emotional release and nervous system regulation.

Good for:

  • Emotional processing

  • Anxiety or grief

  • Feeling energetically depleted

Access Bars

Light touch on specific points on the head that help release stored thoughts, beliefs, and mental patterns.

Ideal if:

  • You overthink constantly

  • You feel mentally cluttered

  • You’re navigating life transitions

Sound Healing (Tuning Forks & Singing Bowls)

Vibration entrains the nervous system and helps regulate brainwave states.

Best for:

  • Insomnia

  • Stress recovery

  • Deep meditative reset

  • Feeling disconnected from your body

Essential Oil & Floral Frequency Therapies

Subtle yet powerful support for emotional balancing and energetic alignment.

These are beautiful complementary options if you’re working through emotional themes or desire gentle support.

So… How Do You Choose?

Often, your body already knows.

  • If you hear about a therapy and feel curious or intrigued — that’s worth exploring.

  • If you’re physically in pain — start with bodywork.

  • If you feel emotionally overwhelmed — try energy work.

  • If you’re unsure — book a consultation.

At The Remedy House, we believe true wellness addresses all layers of being. Many clients rotate services seasonally or combine therapies for deeper support.

If you’re still unsure, schedule a Natural Health Consultation with one of our practitioners and create a personalized plan that supports your body, mind, and nervous system — not just your symptoms.

Your healing doesn’t have to be complicated.
It just needs to begin.
